Wild Orchids .....
Today, while gathering my regular supply of firelighters (pine
cones) in my favourite wood next to the gorgeous Donkey Sanctuary in
Rute, my eye was caught.
There, in full bloom, were the most beautiful pale pink clustered
wild orchids! And what was so amazing was that their leaves had NO
black spots on them....
It reminded me of my Garden in England - in Kent actually, where
year on year I would go out in March searching out the spotted leaves -
first one, then three, and by the time I sold the house, there were
more than seventy under the lime trees - it is SUCH a treasure to find
these same beautiful flowers here so close to my front door.
